Coronavirus - (COVID-19). Guidance for social distancing can be found on this Government website.

Such a shame that the Remembrance Sunday commemorations were so badly impacted this year. I did feel, however, that the service that took place was small but perfectly formed! The service was live streamed and I hope many of you were able to watch it. I did lay a wreath on behalf of the Civic Society after the event.

Some very worrying statistics regarding Covid cases in Buntingford/Hormead seem to be developing. There were 36 positive tests in the seven days to November 13th and a rate of 430.5 per 100K of population, which is well above average compared to the rest of England and on a par with hotspots in the North West of the country. I am sure investigations are ongoing to identify the reasons for this upsurge. Please all be aware. This virus is still very much alive.

If you want to track the level of infection in our area, or anywhere else in the UK, go to the government website at coronavirus.data.gov.uk. Scroll down the Summary page and enter a postcode where indicated to get details for that unique area.

And just remember - HANDS ... FACE ... SPACE.

Aspenden Road continues to be a real problem, especially near the Dandara development. It is difficult not to draw the conclusion that the new development and flooding go hand in hand. Dandara now want permission to build an additional 23 dwellings using the same access. Madness!!

At the time of writing it is still very unclear what form of Christmas celebrations with our families will be allowed this year. Whatever happens, please try to enjoy and celebrate as best you can - I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a virus-free and stress-free New Year.
